Welcome to Black Cliffs Partners! We are a private investment firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. We support the goals of business owners whether by providing capital, operational expertise, or by creating a liquidity event and transition.

Our team has experience as investors and entrepreneurs and looks to have a hands-on collaborative relationship with owners. In addition to private company investments our team is also an active real estate investor.

Michael Lunt


Mike has extensive experience in both public and private investments across a variety of industries. Previously Mike formed Bennett Capital with former U.S. Senator Bob Bennett, which provided capital and consulting to both early and late stage businesses. In addition Mike worked with Lunt Capital Management, an investment advisory firm that manages a series of innovative alternative investment strategies for private and institutional investors. He worked as a venture partner with Intrepid Equity Partners, a successful middle market private equity firm.

In addition, he has participated as both a managing and capital partner in multiple ventures. His background also includes experience with Ford Motor Company, Fidelity Investments, and the Notre Dame Endowment Fund. Mike previously served as the Board Chair for the Salt Lake County Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund, which provides capital to early stage companies. He holds a BS in Finance from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is fluent in Portuguese.

Marshal Lunt


Marshal has spent his career working in financial and operational consulting, controllership, and CFO positions. Marshal has acted as CFO and controller for several growth-stage companies in various industries. He is experienced in accounting, finance, and operations. In a prior role, he gained business development experience globally, including managing a team in India. Marshal also has operations consulting experience, working directly with business leaders and staff to identify process improvements and cost saving opportunities.

Marshal earned his MBA from the University of Chicago, with emphases in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Operations Management, and Strategic Management. Marshal received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Ben De Voe


Benjamin has served in a wide range of roles in various mergers & acquisitions with an emphasis on corporate branding, marketing, sales and operations. He has participated as both a managing and capital partner in multiple ventures. He serves as a board member of Stiry Production Co. He recently founded the non-profit Hats-4-Heroes, supporting service people across the nation. Benjamin was named the 2006 Utah Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association and has a BS from the University of Utah.

Adam Nelson


Adam is a seasoned M&A professional, with experience on both buy and sell-side mandates. He also has operational experience as general manager of a local distribution company. Mr. Nelson previously led the due diligence operations for WebBank, a nation-wide bank focusing on private-label financing for major industry leaders. Adam managed mergers and acquisitions at a boutique firm, United Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to United, Adam worked as a research analyst for both a family investment office and Thorpe Capital. Adam is an emeritus member of the David Eccles Alumni Network Advisory Board and former vice president of the Young Financial Professionals of Salt Lake City. He holds a BS in Finance and a minor in French from The University of Utah, and an MBA from the University Texas at Austin.

Devin Anderson


Devin has worked as a CFO and in the FP&A realm in multiple industries throughout his career including SaaS, manufacturing, solar, and wholesale distribution. Previously, Devin was CFO at Mountain West Distributors, and was heavily involved in their acquisition and expansion into the Northwest to become one of the largest electronic B2B distributors in the western United States. Early in his career, he also worked in tax operations for both Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.


Devin triple majored at Utah State University with undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Economics and Finance. He also obtained his MBA from USU as well. He enjoys golfing in the summer and skiing in the winter. He also lived in the South Pacific and was fluent in the Samoan language.

Chrissy Reyna


Chrissy has spent most of her career in REO (real estate owned) operations and private equity with over a decade and a half of experience in portfolio management and operations. She has served as VP of Portfolio Management with experience in oversight, process improvement and quality control, operations, and team management. Chrissy played college basketball in central California and graduated from Weber State University. In her spare time, Chrissy loves mountain biking with her family.

Max Scrimgeour

VP of Investments

Max has a diverse background in the financial industry, with experience in private wealth management, financial analytics, and private equity. He is genuinely passionate about helping entrepreneurs and business owners bring their visions to life. In his free time, Max enjoys outdoor activities like mountain biking, skiing, rafting, and camping, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Max was a member of the University of Colorado D1 Ski team and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado. Max is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Utah.

Mercedes Riggs

Director of Operations

Mercedes has worked for Black Cliffs Partners since 2021. In her role as an Director of Operations, Mercedes focuses on the overall development, expansion, and health of our businesses by directly overseeing regional leadership. Prior to working with BCP, Mercedes worked in collegiate athletics dealing with operations, development, and talent acquisition. She also has three years of experience working with healthcare organizations who are understaffed and in need of assistance from medical providers. A graduate from Duke University, Mercedes played collegiate basketball while earning a degree in Psychology. Outside of work, Mercedes enjoys many outdoor activities including snowboarding, water skiing, mountain biking, and hiking.

Gillian Leonard

Operations Manager

Gillian, who is currently a member of the Black Cliff Partner’s team, previously assisted in the development of one of our invested businesses located in Utah. During her time there, she was responsible for organizing the grand opening, overseeing the interior design, setting up the necessary technological communication, and handling the integration of new employees. With four years of experience as a Marketing Manager and in customer relations, Gillian has a diverse skill set that includes data entry, social media management, content creation, employee training, time management, and leadership. She graduated with honors from the University of Utah, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Strategic Communications. Gillian also participated in various campus involvement opportunities and internships, as well as studying abroad through the Eccles Global program in Australia and Dubai. During her leisure time, she enjoys attending concerts, traveling to new places, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Sierra Moosman

Operations Project Manager

Sierra started her career in the non-profit sector six years ago, where she discovered her passion for operations and project management. She then transitioned to working as the Operations Director for a dental company, where she played a vital role in facilitating the company’s growth and managing its day-to-day operations. Sierra is thrilled to be joining the Black Cliff Partners team, bringing with her diverse skills in data organization, process optimization, and compliance. While Sierra initially pursued studies in acting and filmmaking, she ultimately realized that it wasn’t the right path for her. Nevertheless, she cherishes the valuable lessons she learned from the theater and film industry. In her leisure time, Sierra enjoys quality time with her family and takes any opportunity to embark on exciting travel adventures.

Grayson McGee

Operations Project Manager

Grayson has recently commenced his professional journey at BCP Equity, where he has joined the esteemed operations department. With over five years of invaluable expertise in the realm of operations, he possesses an extensive understanding of the inner workings and intricacies involved. Grayson’s previous experience involved assuming leadership and managerial roles across multiple departments within a non-profit organization during the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was during this time that he discovered a profound passion for operations and guiding teams towards generating enduring positive change within local communities. Grayson finds solace and joy in engaging in leisure activities such as golfing, playing board games with his beloved family, and immersing himself in the beauty of the great outdoors.

Jennifer Davis

VP of Accounting

Jennifer is an experienced accountant with 25+ years of experience. She has managed the operations and accounting for several businesses and large corporations. Prior to coming to BCP Equity, she was the former CFO for a large service company. In addition, she has owned and operated a home inspection company since 2006. These experiences have given her an in-depth knowledge of accounting, finance, and business operations. Jennifer received her BA in Accounting with a minor in Fine Arts from Westminster College. She is currently enrolled in the MBA program at LSUS. When not doing all things business, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, skiing, camping, and


Brent Celestin

Director of Financing

Mr. Celestin began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in San Diego where he became licensed as a CPA. From there Mr. Celestin entered private industry as a controller for companies in the professional services and technology sectors. In eight years he moved into the CFO ranks for companies in the wholesale distribution, engineering and manufacturing spaces. In 2007 Mr. Celestin founded Fullcourt Advisors to provide capital to privately held businesses with an emphasis on debt instruments – having raised close to $200M in small sized transactions ($5/10M and less). Today, in addition to capital raising efforts, he also provides ongoing contract CFO and turnaround advisory services to companies that range from start-ups to well established businesses. While he is based on the West Coast, Mr. Celestin has ongoing relationships with clients across the country.

Seneca Duncan

Executive Assistant

Seneca has an extensive and broad resume spanning almost every department. She has served as director of customer relations, overseen accounting departments, and acted as operations director, as well as high-tech ventures. As an Executive Assistant she has a proven track record of helping company management achieve its desired goals. Seneca has served on many youth athletic boards and enjoys sharing her talents as a volunteer whenever possible.

Hayden Taylor

Digital Project Manager and Web Development

Hayden is a seasoned web developer with 10+ years of experience. He has a broad range of IT and technical skills, including development, graphic design, IT support, and technology consulting. He is the founder of Blueprint Coders and services a wide portfolio of clients. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in Information Systems from the University of Utah.

McKenna Zohner

Graphic Designer

Mckenna is an experienced graphic designer who brings creativity and visual expertise to Black Cliff Partners. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for design, McKenna leverages her BFA in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University Hawaii, combined with years of experience, to deliver exceptional design solutions that enhance the firm’s professional image. Her expertise spans various areas, including creating impactful marketing collateral, designing engaging website interfaces, and crafting cohesive branding materials that effectively communicate the firm’s message. When she’s not immersed in the world of design, you can often find her exploring new destinations, hiking picturesque trails, and embracing the beauty of the great outdoors.
